Installing the preview
The current download is for Apple Silicon Macs. It is signed by SabaiDev but not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks it the first time: open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway next to Orbit.
Before reporting a problem
Note the Orbit version, macOS version, whether the issue concerns linking, cached history, MCP or billing, and the steps that reproduce it. Describe the problem without including private conversation content. Redact account identifiers and personal information from screenshots.
Never share a QR linking code, WhatsApp session database, MCP token, Whop access/refresh token, Keychain item or encryption key. An AI host’s connection and data handling are separate from Orbit’s local MCP permissions.
Account and billing boundaries
Orbit uses an unofficial WhatsApp integration. Cached history can be incomplete, and scheduling requires the Mac app to remain running. MCP excludes voice messages and calls. Direct-Mac paid plans are sold through Whop. After paying, open Orbit, choose Settings, Plan, Sign In with Browser, and use the same Whop account to activate the plan. A purchase does not link a WhatsApp account automatically. Cancellation and the 14-day first-payment refund are described in the terms.
The Mac App Store is a separate distribution and purchase channel. The prepared StoreKit flow uses Apple Account purchases, Restore Purchases and Manage Subscriptions rather than Whop sign-in. App Store approval, public availability and live purchase acceptance remain pending. A Whop purchase is not an App Store in-app purchase.
