Keep a chat out of AI, and helpers that stay on your Mac
Keep any chat out of AI from its menu, so Kepler, connected assistants and on-device sorting never read it; translate messages, transcribe voice notes, read text in images and catch up on a chat, all on your Mac.
Keep Out of AIChoose Keep Out of AI in a chat's menu and Kepler, connected AI assistants, on-device sorting and summaries can no longer read or act in it. Settings › Privacy lists those chats, and Allow AI brings one back.
Translate on your MacOn macOS 26 or later, right-click a message to translate it between English, French and Thai, or translate your draft before you send it, with undo. Nothing leaves your Mac.
Voice notes as textOn macOS 26 or later, transcribe an English or French voice message on your Mac to read it when you can't listen.
Read text in imagesRight-click an image to read and copy its text (English, French, Thai), recognised on your Mac.
Catch me upOn Pro and Studio with Apple Intelligence, get a short summary of a busy chat, each point linked to the messages it comes from.
Faster searchSearch uses an index on your Mac, so finding a message in a long history stays quick.

Today: who is waiting for you, sorted on your Mac
Today in the menu bar shows who is waiting for your reply and what you promised, sorted on your Mac by Apple Intelligence; Kepler prepares replies, shows what it read and cites messages.
Today in the menu barThe menu bar opens on Today: chats waiting for your reply, promises you made, and what's new. The menu-bar number counts unread chats that need an answer. Your full inbox is one shortcut away (⌘↑).
Sorted on your MacOn Pro and Studio, Apple Intelligence reads recent messages on your Mac to drop chats nobody expects an answer to ("ok, thanks!") and to find what you promised in messages you sent. Nothing leaves your Mac; turn it off in Controls › Today.
Promises, with deadlines"I'll send the quote tomorrow" becomes a reminder with its deadline; overdue ones are marked. Tick one off when it's done, or mark a chat No Reply Needed.
Prepare a reply with KeplerPress ⏎ on a chat waiting for you: Kepler reads it and proposes a draft you review before anything is sent (⌘⏎ opens the chat). Languages Apple Intelligence can't read, like Lao or Thai, go to Kepler when you ask.
See what Kepler readEvery Kepler answer shows the tools, accounts and chats it used, cites messages you can peek at without marking them read, and warns before a draft mixes information from another account. Unfinished Kepler conversations wait in Today under Open threads.

Kepler agents, and chats that look like WhatsApp
Kepler agents and identities, Kepler in the menu bar, and a big round of chat upgrades: polls, locations, contact cards, disappearing messages, emoji, stickers and GIFs.
Kepler agentsGive Kepler a purpose, its own colour and a mode: read only, draft only or approval required. Assign an agent to a chat or an account and it is picked automatically.
Identities for how Kepler writesSet a tone, a language and words to avoid once, preview a sample reply, and reuse it with any agent.
Kepler in the menu barA Kepler tab next to your Inbox (⌘1/⌘2): recent conversations, a new chat with any agent (⌘N), history (⌘Y) and approvals tinted by agent.
Every Kepler conversation, keptSeveral conversations at once, saved encrypted on your Mac. Search, rename, pin, archive, fork or export any of them as Markdown.
See what your agents didEach conversation logs the tools and actions it used, and an Activity view shows every agent’s recent work. A chat shows which Kepler conversations are about it.
Polls, locations and contact cardsSee them as they are meant to look, vote in polls with live counts, and send your own location, contact or poll from the attachment menu.
Disappearing and view-once messagesDisappearing messages show a timer and are removed from your Mac when they expire; your replies follow the chat’s timer. View-once media stays on your phone.
Emoji, stickers and GIFsA native emoji panel with search, recents and skin tones, quick reactions, a sticker panel, and GIFs you can send from your Mac.
Richer conversationsWhatsApp formatting, @mentions in groups, typing and recording indicators, pinned messages, an unread divider and a jump to the latest message.
Better media and voice notesVideos play inline, a media viewer steps through photos and videos, and voice notes have a waveform to scrub and a speed that sticks.
Send several files with a captionReview dropped files, add a caption and send them together, never twice.
Notifications with facesNotifications show the contact or group photo, and group alerts name both the group and the sender.
